- W1990036165 abstract "Perovskite-type La0.8Sr0.2MO3 (M = Mn, Co) compounds were synthesized by a hydroxy acid-aided process which was composed of the evaporation-to-dryness step of the mixed aqueous solution of metal nitrates and a hydroxy acid, followed by calcination in air. When citric or malic acid was used, well-crystallized perovskite-type oxides were formed at 550–600 °C, which was 250–300 °C lower than the temperature for the conventional nitrate process. The malic acid-aided process gave oxides with larger specific surface areas than those obtained with the citric acid-aided process, and the resulting large surface area oxides showed excellent catalytic performance for the combustion of methane." @default.
