- W1991261405 abstract "Myocardial infarcts were produced by a standard technique in 13 dogs. The ten survivors were divided into two groups of five each, one of which was subjected daily to four weeks of strenuous physical exercise, while the other group was kept at rest. At the end of the exercise period, the conditions of all dogs were evaluated by hemodynamic and pathologic studies. There were no significant differences in left ventricular end diastolic pressure, maximum contractile element velocity at 0 load, contractile element velocity at 10 mm Hg developed pressure, maximum rate of increase of left ventricular pressure, infarct size, or thickness between the two groups." @default.
