- W1991327391 abstract "Thin films of CuInSe2 ( ∼ 2 μm thick) have been deposited on Mo and glass substrates by the flash evaporation technique. Microprobe analysis show different compositions for films obtained at different substrate temperatures. The conductivity types of the CuInSe2 films were found to be strongly dependent on the substrate temperature. Nearly stoichiometric p-CuInSe2 films could be reproducibly obtained at a substrate temperature of 490°C and a source temperature of 1450°C. Optical absorption studies indicate that the deposited material is a direct band gap semiconductor with a band gap of close to 1 eV. Indium diffusion converts p-CuInSe2 to n-CuInSe2. Preliminary investigations on photoelectrochemical cells with the configuration Mo/n-CuInSe2/I-, I-3, gave a photovoltage of 200 mV and a current density of 10 mA cm-2 under 100 mW cm-2 illumination." @default.
