The effect of hydrogen ion concentration on the distribution coefficient of cobalt has been studied in the pH range 2–5.5. The effect of particle size and temperature on the sorption isotherm and rate of uptake of cobalt were investigated. The increase of temperature was found to enhance the sorption equilibrium and rate of uptake. The diffusivity of cobalt ions into different particle sizes of KNiFC was calculated. The effect of the presence of cesium ions on the rate of uptake of cobalt is presented." @default.
