- W199304313 abstract "Outlines’ criteria.The population of this study was the second year students of SMA 2Pekalongan in the academic year of 2006/2007. The members of the population werearound 250 students. Out of the population, 36 respondents were selected as samples.To get these samples, a proportional cluster random sampling was applied. To gainthe data, a test—multiple-choice completion was provided to the samples. However,before the test was applied, it had been tried out to the second year students of SMA4 Pekalongan. The aim was to measure the Level of Difficulty (LD) andDiscriminating Power (DP). Then, I examined the try-out test to the samples in orderto get the reliability and validity.The analysis of the test result indicates the following findings. According tocriteria of success stated in GBPP, the respondents have had enough vocabulary butthey must improve it. The finding of the results gets the scores, which areconstructed in the table form. Then, the scores of the respondents are summed anddivided by the whole numbers of the students in order to get the mean. Talking aboutthe average, the mean obtained by the respondents in the test is about 69. Based onthe criterion proposed by “Standar BAKUM”, the score is regarded averageachievement because it lies between 60 and 69. It means that the majority of thesecond year students of SMA 2 Pekalongan have enough vocabulary knowledge.This is because it is neither too high nor too low.Therefore, I would like to suggest to the teachers of English in the school getinformed with the result of this study and take some necessary steps to overcome thesituation." @default.
