- W1994426108 abstract "CT fluoroscopy (CTF) technology has been used for guidance of percutaneous interventional procedures at our institution since 1996. Since that time, we have performed over 120 therapeutic procedures of the abdomen and pelvis using the Toshiba Xpress/SX continuous imaging CTF system. Procedures discussed in this review include fluid collection aspiration and drainage, chemoneurolysis, and tumor chemoablation. CTF facilitates accurate and rapid placement of needles, guidewires, and drainage catheters. In addition, the ability to constantly monitor instrument placement allows percutaneous procedures to be performed in a very safe manner. Limitations on image quality using a low millamperage technique are less important when performing fluid collection drainages than when accessing tumor lesions within solid organs such as the liver for chemoablation." @default.
