Performance reviews have been created in order to measure the results of every employee's work actions within an organisation. Performance reviews, if used wisely, should allow management to help align their organisational infrastructure whenever possible around the development of the professional intellect. In this paper, a discussion of different performance reviews in two large non-profit organisations associated with the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, both in terms of its delivery system and how management evaluates them for rewarding the growth of the professional intellect is discussed.
