Prior to his letter we also had similar concerns and obtained axial lengths of the patients who developed transient no light perception (NLP) and found them to be 23.0 ± 0.9 mm, which is in the normal range; we did not include this as part of our publication since we did not find a correlation between eyes that went NLP and short axial length.
