- W1999145961 abstract "Abstract The aim of this research work was to study the corrosion resistance of anodized PM porous titanium, aimed for endosseous implants. Crystalline oxide layers were developed on the surface of porous c.p. titanium, formerly pressed with 200, 400, or 600 MPa and 1100 °C vacuum sintered. Anodization was performed in 0.25 M H2SO4 at various voltages for 1 h at room temperature, followed by heat treatment at 350 °C or 550 °C. For the sample pressed with 400 MPa, anodized at 1 V and heat treated at 550 °C, XRD patterns illustrated the formation of rutile and anatase phases, which are efficient in improving titanium biocompatibility. Also, after the evaluation, the corrosion resistance of titanium samples pressed with 400 MPa was higher in comparison to the other samples. The results are promising in view of optimizing both the corrosion resistance and biocompatibility of PM porous titanium." @default.
