Several points were inaccurate or misleading, and the article did not clearly define the impetus for the development of the laparoscopic live donor operation.This operation was designed to address the financial and logistical disincentives to live kidney donation. Prolonged recuperative time, pain, and cosmetic results can all be disincentives.
