- W2000290041 abstract "Gel-permeation chromatography is recognized as the most reliable method for the purification of aqueous solutions of the ligand tris(sodium-m-sulfonatophenyl)phosphane (TPPTS) and its industrially important rhodium complex derivatives (hydroformylation; Rhône-Poulenc/Ruhrchemie process). This purification technique has been modified for compounds of this type (air-exclusion) and has been optimized. In particular, the synthesis of spectroscopically and analytically pure TPPTS complexes since the synthesis of this ligand by E.G. Kuntz in 1975 has now been achieved for the first time. Sephadex-type gels and Fractogel HW-40F have proved to be the most effective stationary media. The outstanding utility of the method is exemplified by the easy accesibility of TPPTS rhodium(I) complexes which are ideal for hydroformylations in two-phase systems. Die Gel-Permeationschromatographie wurde als das bisher einzige zuverlässige Reinigungsverfahren für wäßrige Lösungen des Liganden Tris(natrium-m-sulfonatophenyl)phosphan (TPPTS) und für davon abgeleitete, in der großtechnischen Hydroformylierung wichtige Rhodium-Komplexe (Rhône-Poulenc/Ruhrchemie-Verfahren) erkannt und entsprechend den speziellen Anforderungen adaptiert (Sauerstoffausschluß) und optimiert. Insbesondere gelingt damit erstmals die Gewinnung spektroskopisch und analytisch reiner TPPTS-Metallkomplexe seit der Synthese des Liganden durch E.G. Kuntz im Jahre 1975. Als leistungsfähige stationäre Trennmedien eignen sich Sephadex-Gele sowie Fractogel TSK HW-40F. Die Leistungsfähigkeit dieser Trennmethode zeigt sich an der problemlosen Zugänglichkeit von TPPTS-Komplexen des einwertigen Rhodiums, die für Hydroformylierungen in Zweiphasensystemen von Bedeutung sind." @default.
