Dans cette étude, nous faisons une revue des symptômes et syndromes associés à un déficit en fer avec ou sans anémie : fatigue, fonctions cognitive, syndrome des jambes sans repos, perte de cheveux, et insuffisance cardiaque chronique. Le fer est absorbé au niveau du tube digestif. L’hepcidine et la ferroportine sont les principales protéines de régulation de l’absorption du fer. Des micro-organismes pathogènes ou la dysbiose intestinale pourraient avoir un rôle sur l’absorption de fer. Iron deficiency anemia still remains problematic worldwide. Iron deficiency without anemia is often undiagnosed. We reviewed, in this study, symptoms and syndromes associated with iron deficiency with or without anemia: fatigue, cognitive functions, restless legs syndrome, hair loss, and chronic heart failure. Iron is absorbed through the digestive tract. Hepcidin and ferroportin are the main proteins of iron regulation. Pathogenic micro-organisms or intestinal dysbiosis are suspected to influence iron absorption." @default.
