The chiral 3 led to observable enantiomeric shift differences for the 2° NCH3 signal that could have potential for direct optical purity determinations of 1. Results with 2 and 3 are interpreted as consistent with major shift reagent binding at the 2° nitrogen, with conformer equilibria changes sterically induced by this complexation." @default.
