These derivativeś are hydrolysed in acid media to give the corresponding α-silylketone which in turn undergoes basic hydrolysis to give an aldehyde silylated in the position β with respect to the carbonyl group. This method is a way of obtaining aliphatic α-silylketones which were previously difficult to prepare. Le système triméthylchlorosilane-magnésium-hexaméthylphosphorotriamide réagit avec les chlorures d'acides α-éthyléniques pour donner un composé trisilié résultant de l'addition-1,4 de deux groupes SiMe3 au système conjugué et de la substitution de l'atome de chlore par un groupe SiMe3. Ce dérivé s'hydrolyse en milieu acide pour donner l'α-silylcétone correspondante, laquelle, par hydrolyse basique, conduit à son tour à un aldéhyde silicié en β du groupe carbonyle. Cette méthode ouvre donc une voie nouvelle d'accés à des α-silylcétones aliphatiques dont la préparation était jusqu'ici difficile." @default.
