- W2000641185 abstract "In most practical situations, the subject of human response to whole-body vibration (WBV) cannot realistically be separated from the subject of measuring and evaluating WBV in a given environment. Thus it is necessary to consider the several essential elements which tie together the current knowledge about human response to WBV and methods of measuring and evaluating WBV data. The objective of the measurement and evaluation must be clearly defined. The criteria for evaluating the WBV data must be meaningful with respect to the objective of the evaluation. The strong psychological elements and confounding factors associated with the environment of interest must be taken into consideration. It must be understood that the WBV data are only a means of predicting human response in a WBV environment, and that the real end result is the way that people actually respond in that environment. The nature of random vibration must be well understood and the mathematical concepts for quantifying random data must be rigorously applied throughout the evaluation process." @default.
