- W2000673359 abstract "In order to synthesize penta- and hexa-gonal platinum(II) metallocycles, bidentate ligands such as iminopyridines (L) have been prepared and characterized. The (2-pyridyl)CHNR1 and (2-pyridyl)CH2NCR1R2 ligands react with Zeise's salt to afford directly the pentagonal chelates PtCl2L. Their structure and the cis-stereo-chemistry were shown by the usual spectroscopic methods and for cis-PtCl2[C5H4NCH2NC(CH3)C6H4OH],H2O by an X-ray diffraction study. On the other hand, the (2-pyridyl)(CH2)2NCR1R2 ligands do not afford the expected hexagonal metallocycles; instead, after complexation at the nitrogen atom of the imine they give rise to the (2-pyridyl)ethylamine complex formed after hydrolysis of the coordinated ligands. Complexes trans-[ethylene][(2-pyridyl)(CH2)2NCR1R2]PtCl2 represent when R1 is estradiol a model for “cytotoxic with delayed activity”. Afin de synthétiser des métallocycles penta- ou hexa-gonaux du platine(II), des ligands bidentates iminopyridines (L) ont été préparés et caractérisés. Les ligands du type (pyridiyl-2)CHNR1 et (pyridyl-2)CH2NCR1R2 réagissent directement avec le sel de Zeise pour donner les chélates pentagonaux de formule PtCl2L Leurs structures et la stéréochimie cis sont démontrées par leurs caractéristiques spectroscopiques et grâce à une étude réalisée par diffraction des rayons X. Par contre les ligands (pyridyl-2)(CH2)2NCR1R2 ne conduisent pas aux métallocycles à six chainons attendus mais au complexe de la (pyridyl-2) éthylamine résultant de l'hydrolyse du ligand, coordiné dans un premier temps par l'azote de l'imine. Les complexes trans-[éthylène][(pyridyl-2)(CH2)2NCR1R2]PtCl2 constituent, lorsque R1 esst l'estradiol, un modèle “d'estrogène toxique à effet retard”." @default.
