• W2000915518 abstract "Der Artikel untersucht den Wandel der Herrschafts- und Siedlungsstrukturen im mittelalterlichen Niederschlesien (9.–14. Jahrhundert) anhand der Erforschung eines Siedlungskleinraums bei Köben an der Oder (Chobienia, pow. Lublin). An diesem Ort bilden ein frühmittelalterlicher Burgwall („Schwedenschanze“, zweite Hälfte des 9. Jahrhunderts), eine spätmittelalterliche Burg, eine Stadt und ein spätslawischer Siedlungskomplex (10.–13. Jahrhundert) mit einer Kirche, die den eigenartigen Namen „Dom“ trägt, eine interessante Konzentration von Orten mit militärischen, herrschaftlichen und wirtschaftlich herausragenden Funktionen aus unterschiedlichen Perioden. Ihre archäologische und historische Erforschung macht die Veränderungen in Schlesien von der Stammes- über die Piastenzeit bis in das späte Mittelalter nachvollziehbar. Ein scharfer Bruch in der Entwicklung kann von der Stammes- zur Piastenzeit ausgemacht werden, die weiteren Transformationen erscheinen zwar drastisch, aber eher sukzessive. Zugleich werden Wandlungen in den kulturellen Kontakten Niederschlesiens deutlich: Anfangs bestehen enge Beziehungen nach Böhmen und Mähren, später ins piastische Polen und seit dem 12. Jahrhundert wird der Einfluss des Deutschen Reiches immer stärker. Cet article examine la transformation des structures seigneuriales et de l'habitat dans la basse Silésie moyenâgeuse (9 e –14 e siècle) en se basant sur l'étude d'un petit territoire situé près de Köben sur l'Oder (Chobienia, pow. Lublin). Une place forte du début du Moyen-Age („Schwedenschanze“, deuxième moitié du 9 e siècle), un château fort de la fin du Moyen-Age, une ville ainsi qu'un ensemble d'habitats de la fin de l'époque slave (10 e –13 e siècle), avec une église portant singulièrement le nom de „Dom“, forment une concentration intéressante de localités appartenant à différentes époques et revêtant d'importantes fonctions militaires, seigneuriales et économiques. L'étude archéologique et historique de ces sites permet de comprendre les mutations en Silésie depuis l'époque tribale, en passant par l'époque des Piast, jusqu'à la fin du Moyen- Age. Cette évolution affiche une césure nette entre l'époque tribale et celle des Piast, tandis que les mutations postérieures, certes radicales, apparaissent plutôt successivement. On constate également des changements dans les échanges culturels de la basse Silésie: Elle entretint des relations étroites tout d'abord avec la Bohème et la Moravie, puis avec les Piast de Pologne, mais, dès le 12 e siècle, l'influence de l'Empire germanique devint de plus en plus forte. The article explores the transformation of the power and settlement structures in medieval Lower Silesia (9th to 14th century) on the basis of an analysis of a small settlement near Köben an der Oder (Chobienia, pow. Lublin). This site – with its early medieval castle wall (‚Swedish entrenchment‘, second half of the 9th century), a late medieval castle, a city and a late Slavic settlement complex (10th to 13th century) including a church which has the unusual name ‚cathedral‘ – is an interesting concentration of places with economic, military or power-related functions from different periods. The archaeological and historical analyses of this site shed light on the changes that took place in Silesia – from the tribal era to the Piast dynasty up to the Late Middle Ages. A sharp break in the development can be discerned from the tribal era to the time of the Piast dynasty. The further transformations, while appearing drastic, are more successive in nature. At the same time, there were clear changes in the cultural contacts of Lower Silesia: at the beginning there were close ties to Bohemia and Moravia, later to Piast Poland, and then beginning in the 12th century the influence of the German Empire became increasingly stronger." @default.
