Nous explorons dans ce travail les possibilités de fabrication de couches organisées d’aimants monomoléculaires du type Mn12 à l’aide de la technique de Langmuir–Blodgett (LB) ou par greffage de ces clusters sur une surface métallique (self-assembled monolayers, SAMs). La première partie de cet article aborde l’utilisation de la technique LB pour l’obtention de films magnétiques auto-organisés formés de monocouches de clusters. Deux stratégies de synthèse ont été utilisées à cette fin : (i) le mélange de dérivés du type Mn12 acetate or benzoate avec des molécules amphiphiles ; (ii) l’obtention d’un cluster Mn12 conçu spécifiquement pour former des films LB.
