- W2001085152 abstract "Energy distributions of mass-selected O+·, N+, O2+·, N2+· and NO+ drifting in helium have been measured in the range of reduced fields 15–200 Td, using an electrostatic momentum analyzer in the path of axial effusing ions. Mobilities calculated from the data with the aid of the Wannier equation are in agreement with previously published data obtained with ‘electrical shutter’ techniques. Full widths at half maximum and asymmetries rise smoothly with increasing reduced field. The measured O+· distribution at 55 Td is narrower than that calculated by Lin and Bardsley. Some evidence is found for a second mass 16 species, at certain ion source gas pressures and microwave powers, appearing as a subsidiary peak in the O+·/Ar distribution." @default.
