- W2001263686 abstract "$mathrm{Se}text{ensuremath{-}}mathrm{IV}$, the high-pressure phase of selenium stable above $28phantom{rule{0.3em}{0ex}}mathrm{GPa}$, is shown to have an incommensurately modulated structure to a least $70phantom{rule{0.3em}{0ex}}mathrm{GPa}$, the highest pressure reached in this study. Although the previously reported phase transition at $40--60phantom{rule{0.3em}{0ex}}mathrm{GPa}$ to primitive rhombohedral $mathrm{Se}text{ensuremath{-}}mathrm{V}$ is not observed, extrapolation of the $mathrm{Se}text{ensuremath{-}}mathrm{IV}$ structural parameters suggests a continuous transition to $mathrm{Se}text{ensuremath{-}}mathrm{V}$ would occur at $82phantom{rule{0.3em}{0ex}}mathrm{GPa}$. The incommensurate wave vector of $mathrm{Se}text{ensuremath{-}}mathrm{IV}$ is significantly pressure dependent, varying from 0.314(1) at $28.9phantom{rule{0.3em}{0ex}}mathrm{GPa}$ to 0.277(1) at $56phantom{rule{0.3em}{0ex}}mathrm{GPa}$." @default.
