- W2002311502 abstract "Abstract The presence of a reversed dicarboxylic acid pathway was demonstrated in engorged nymphs of the camel tick, Hyalomma dromedarii , following the isolation and determination of the cycle acids and some related amino-acids. Sodium [ 14 C] bicarbonate and pyruvate together with certain cofactors were incubated with homogenates made from the whole tick tissue in the presence or absence of inhibitors. Although pyruvate was utilized by tick tissue it does not seem to be the immediate and main substrate for the CO 2 fixation reactions." @default.
