In moderately concentrated solutions (⩽ 7 × 10−4 M), the fluorescence spectra revealed that the dimer was nonfluorescent up to 900 MPa. In more concentrated solutions (⩾ 3 × 10−3 M), a new absorption peak located at 477 nm, which was assigned to higher aggregates other than the dimer, was observed at high pressures. These higher aggregates were found to fluoresce with a new emission peak located at 650 nm. The photophysical properties of the higher aggregates are discussed." @default.
