By synchronizing enzymatic monomer transformation with polymerization, continuous supply of a second monomer is achieved during the polymerization, resulting in gradient monomer distribution in the final polymer. Various alcohols were used for in situ monomer transformation with trifluoroethyl methacrylate (TFEMA), and corresponding gradient copolymers could be successfully prepared. This method is facile and versatile, providing an alternative candidate for preparing gradient polymers with specific monomer sequences." @default.
