- W2003203438 abstract "Resumo: Objectivos: avaliar as accoes do peroxido de carbamida a10% e do peroxido de hidrogenio a 25% activado pela luz de uma lâmpada LED, na morfologia da superficie do esmalte e comparar a accao das duas terapeuticas. Materiais e Metodos: obtiveram-se trinta amostras apos separacao das coroas de quinze premolares divididas no sentido vertical do longo eixo dentario e de vestibular para lingual. Fizeram-se tres grupos de acordo com a terapeutica: grupo controlo (sem terapeutica); grupo I, peroxido de carbamida a 10% (Platinum®, 14 dias); grupo II, peroxido de hidrogenio a 25% (Zoom! Chairside System®, 60 minutos como recomendado pelo fabricante). Entre tratamentos as amostras foram imersas em saliva artificial. Apos 24 horas do fim das terapeuticas, as amostras foram tratadas para serem observadas em Microscopio Electronico de Varrimento. Resultados: A observacao em Microscopio Electronico de Varrimento do esmalte das amostras tratadas, comparada com a do grupo controlo, revela uma superficie erodida com acentuadas fendas em todas as amostras dos grupos II e III, decorridas 24 horas do final das terapeuticas. Estas sao mais evidentes e com um padrao mais pronunciado no grupo III. Conclusoes: 1 – As alteracoes morfologicas da superficie do esmalte ocorrem em todas as amostras sujeitas as duas tecnicas de branqueamento nas primeiras 24 horas, mas o Zoom! Chairside System® parece causar alteracoes mais acentuadas da superficie. 2 – Outras observacoes devem ser realizadas, com intervalo de tempo maior, permitindo concluir quanto a regressao, por remineralizacao, das alteracoes morfologicas.
