- W2003245577 abstract "Calculation of the solubility product for Ca(OH)2 and CaSO4·2H2O in pore solutions of hardened cement paste is used as an estimation of saturation. The treatment of solubility data using three models is discussed in this paper. These models are the Greenberg-Copeland model[1], the Bromley model[2] and the Pitzer-Mayorga model[3], which are all based on extended Debye-Hückel theory. The models arelied to the estimation of the saturation according to the experimental and calculated results. Experimental results were obtained from concentration measurements of ions present in the solutions while calculations are based on the models. None of the models evaluated appear entirely adequate to calculate Ca(OH)2 and CaSO4·2H2O saturation. According to the models, Ca(OH)2 and CaSO4·2H2O saturation in pore solutions depends strongly on the alkali content of the cement." @default.
