This technique has enabled a parametric study to be carried out without the complicating factors of test variability that are inherent in field testing. The effects of length-diameter ratio L/D and depth of penetration-diameter ratio H/D have been examined. In the study of the effects of L/D on the apparent strength, this was found to depend also on 6/.v; a chart of correction factors for strengths derived from the pressuremeter test is presented. The L/D ratio has a much smaller effect on the measurement of elastic properties. The depth of the pressuremeter below the ground surface in a homogeneous clay deposit was found to have little effect on the measurement of the elastic strength properties, even for very shallow tests. L'influence de la géométrie d'un pressiométre autoforeur sur les résultats obtenus lors d'essais réalisés dans des argiles molles a été étudiée à l'aide d'une analyse par éléments finis. Cette méthode a permis de mettre en oeuvre une étude paramétrique sans prise en compte des facteurs compliqués de variabilité des essais, inhérents à tout essai de terrain. L'influence rapport longueur sur diamètre L/D et celle du rapport profondeur de pénétration sur diamètre H/D ont été étudiées. Lors de l'étude de l'influence de L/D sur la résistance apparente, il est apparu qu'elle dépend également de G/Su. Des facteurs de correction de la résistance, issus des essais pressiométriques, sont proposés. Le rapport L/D a une influence beaucoup plus réduite sur les mesures de propriétés élastiques. La profondeur d'enfoncement du pressiomètre sous la surface du sol, dans des dépôts argileux homogènes, semble n'avoir que très peu d'effet sur la mesure des propriétés élastiques et de résistance, même pour les essais très superficiels." @default.
