Die Differenz zwischen den niedrigen Feulgen-DNS-Werten in den Ampullen und den höheren Werten in den Nebenhoden war hoch signifikant. Spermien aus dem Nebenhodenkopf und dem -schwanz ergaben gleiche Werte. Der Feulgen-DNS-Gehalt in ejakulierten Spermien war bedeutend höher als in massierten, auch wenn die Massage der Samenleiterampullen nach mindestens 2 Ejakulationen stattfand. Diese Feststellungen weisen darauf bin, daβ die Samenleiterampullen eine für die Spermien ungünstige Umgebung darstellen und daβ, im normalen Ejakulat, der Anteil von ampullären Samenzellen im Vergleich zu epididymären Spermatozoiden gering ist. Contents: Microspectrophotornetrical measurements of Feulgen-DNA were performed on epididymal (caput and cauda) and ampular spermatozoa from 12 bulls. Similar investigations were made on 40 ejaculates and 31 massages from the ampulles in 3 experimental bulls. Spermatozoa from the ampules yielded significantly (P < 0,01) lower Feulgen-DNA values than those from the epididymis, but between the caput and the cauda no significant differences could be detected. The Feulgen-DNA content of ejaculated spermatozoa was significantly (P < 0,01) higher than that of spermatozoa obtained by massage, even when massage was performed immediately after 2 or more consecutive ejaculations. These findings suggest that the ampular environment is unfavourable for bull spermatozoa and that in normal ejaculates the proportion of ampular spermatozoa is very small and the bulk of ejaculated spermatozoa is provided by the epididymis." @default.
