- W2004864065 abstract "Specific features of field-enhanced ionization of a polar liquid in the presence of strong electric field are discussed. Within the framework of the developed theory, an equation describing stretching deformation of a homeopolar molecule caused by the external field has been obtained. Numerical analysis of the equation has made it possible to investigate the dependence of molecular relative deformation, binding energy and degree of dissociation on the strength of the electric field. Van der Waals forces reduction in the considered molecule under the influence of external electric field provides noticeable increase in the concentration of ions which formation is due to Pool–Frenkel effect. It has been found that even in the case of weak field Pool–Frenkel effect in a polar liquid is a substantially nonlinear phenomenon." @default.
