- W2005188706 abstract "The extent of genotypic and phenotypic diversity of Edwardsiella tarda isolated from pond sediment was assessed by SDS-PAGE, Plasmid Profiling and ERIC-PCR. SDS-PAGE of whole cell protein extracts reveals 20–23 discrete bands with molecular wt of 14–110 kDa. Several bands with molecular weight range of 38–83 kDa were present in all the isolates. Numerical analysis of protein electrophoregram delineated the isolates into four clusters. Two different types of plasmids having molecular mass of 23 kDa and 29 kDa were obtained by plasmid profiling. About 51% of the isolates carried both the plasmids. ERIC-PCR generates 3–7 bands with molecular mass of 14–1013 bp. Numerical analysis differentiated the ERIC pattern into 5 clusters at 60% similarly level. It was concluded that out of three methods ERIC-PCR was found to be more sensitive for intraspecific typing of E. tarda and can be used as a potential tool for epidemiological studies in the future. L’ampleur de la diversité du génotype et du phénotype d’Edwardsiella tarda isolée de sédiments d’étang a été évalué par SDS-PAGE, Plasmid Prophiling et Eric PCR. SDS-PAGE d’extraits de protéines entières révèle 20 à 23 bandes avec un poids moléculaires de 14 à 110 kDa. Plusieurs bandes avec un poids moléculaires de 38–83 kDa ont été présentes dans tous les isolats. L’analyse numérique de l’électrophorégramme a permis d’isoler quatre faisceaux. Deux différents types de plasmides présentant une masse moléculaire de 23 kDa et de 29 kDa ont été obtenus. Environ 51% des isolats portaient les deux plasmides. ERIC-PCR a produit trois à sept bandes avec une masse moléculaire de 14 à 1013 bp. L’analyse numérique a différencié le modèle ERIC dans cinq faisceaux similaires à 60%. Il a été montré que sur les trois méthodes, ERIC-PCR s’est avérée la plus sensible et pourrait être utilisée comme outil potentiel pour des études épidémiologiques futures concernant Edwardsiella tarda." @default.
