- W2005763003 abstract "A fatty meal affects the plasma fibrinolytic activity as measured by the euglobulin method. A single ingestion of cream caused an increase of fibrinolysis time in patients with coronary heart disease; cod-liver oil had no effect. Soybean oil ingestion reduced the fibrinolysis time to a greater extent in atherosclerotic than in normal individuals. 3. The influence of fats on fibrinolysis appears only during alimentary hyperlipaemia. There exists a statistically significant difference between the plasma fibrinolytic activity of patients with coronary heart disease and that of normal subjects. @default.
