- W2005829777 abstract "The aim of the present study is to analyze the magneto-thermoviscoelastic interaction in the half-space. The formalism deals with the state space approach developed by Bahar and Hetnarski with the purpose of counteracting the difficulties of handling with the displacement potential function. Here the medium is considered to be permeated by a uniform magnetic field acting parallel to the bounding surface, subject to a temperature pulse. The solution is based on the model of Lord and Shulman, where Maxwell's theory of electrodynamics and Voigt model for the behaviour of viscoelastic material have been effectively introduced. The inversion of Laplace transform with short time approximation have also been adopted while carrying out the computational work that has been performed for applying the analytical work for a specific situation. The numerical results for different field parameters, such as displacement, temperature, stress distribution, and perturbed magnetic field are presented graphically." @default.
