We employ the two-channel linear response theory in which the self-consistency relation between the mean field and the residual interaction is included. Two Skyrme-type interactions with substantially different values of K are used. It is demonstrated that the breathing mode energy, being dependent on properties of the interaction in the interior region, is more sensitive to K than the density differences. This analysis indicates values of K in the range K=210--250 MeV." @default.
