- W2007389471 abstract "Abstract Radio respirometric data from rats continuously infused with specifically 14C-labeled glucose and other substrates indicates that monomethyl hydrazine (MMH) inhibits glycolysis. The effect is evidently at the phosphofructokinase step. MMH was infused sc for 14 hr at 0.036 mmol/kg/hr. Substrates were infused from Hours 4 to 24 through an indwelling intestinal cannula, providing for observation of near steady-state catabolic activity. A dose rate of 0.018 mmol/kg/hr caused a detectable inhibition, and 0.009 mmol/kg/hr was without effect. The use of continuous substrate infusion techniques and the interpretation of data with respect to metabolic pathway activity is discussed." @default.
