Die Verabreichung der unverseifbaren Komponenten ergab keine signifikanten Auswirkungen auf die Gesamtcholesterinkonzentration. α-Tocopherol verursachte in Verbindung mit dem Triglycerid eine Erhohung des HDL-Cholesterins, wahrend die anderen Substanzen wirkungslos blieben. Die Kombination der unverseifbaren Komponenten resultierte in einem signifikanten Anstieg des HDL-Cholesterins. Dieser Summeneffekt wurde bei beiden Fettarten deutlich. Die Maisolfraktionen verursachten einen Anstieg der HDL-Cholesterinfraktion um 80%, gegenuber der tocopherolarmen Gruppe. Das Verhaltnis zwischen freiem und verestertem Cholesterin wurde durch die Mischung der Substanzen und die Maisolfraktionen leicht erhoht. Eine signifikante Beeinflussung der Parameter durch das Fettsauremuster der Diat konnte nicht festgestellt werden.Influence of the Unsaponifiable Substances of Dietary Fats and the Fatty Acid Pattern of a Cholesterol Rich Diet on the Plasma CholesterolThe effect of unsaponifiable substances of corn oil was investigated on the plasmalipids of male Wistar rats. Beside α-and γ-tocopherol, ubiquinone and β-sitosterol, unsaponifiable corn oil fractions were also tested. The fat in the cholesterolrich and vitamin E-poor basis diet consisted of butter or a triglyceride, rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids. The dispense of the unsaponifiable components showed no effect upon the concentration of total cholesterol. α-tocopherol, in combination with the triglyceride, produced an increase in the HDL-cholesterol, whereas the other substances remained inefficient. The combination of the unsaponifiable substances resulted in a significant elevation of HDL-cholesterol. This combined effect was evident with both dietary fats. The corn oil fractions caused a rise of HDL-cholesterol of about 80%, in relation to the tocopherol-poor group. The ratio of free cholesterol to cholesterolester was insignificantly increased.
