- W2008284906 abstract "Yellow light-emitting Eu 2+ -doped Ca-α-SiAlON phosphors with compositions of (Ca m/2―x Eu x )Si 12―(m+n) Al m+n O n N 16―n were successfully prepared by spark plasma sintering (SPS), and their luminescence properties were investigated. The Ca-α-SiAlON:Eu 2+ phosphors absorbed in the UV-blue visible light region and showed a strong yellow-orange emission band centered at 565 nm. The influences of Ca content, Eu doping concentration, synthesis temperature, and post-heat-treatment on the luminescence performance of Ca-α-SiAlON:Eu 2+ phosphors were investigated. The optimization of SPS and subsequent postannealing yields the yellow Ca-α-SiAlON:Eu 2+ phosphor with an emission intensity comparable to the commercial yellow phosphor (yttrium aluminum garnet:Ce 3+ ) under blue light excitation." @default.
