The approach to the Bear-Kouri-Levin-Tobocman equations is more in the spirit of the usual Faddeev equations. The detailed operators which appear as effective interactions are different from those appearing in earlier forms of the Faddeev equations. It is shown that the same effective interactions appear in both the Baer-Kouri-Levin-Tobocman and Faddeev-type equations.
