- W2008624391 abstract "In mice undergoing an acute non-specific inflammation induced by the injection of calcium pyrophosphate in the pleural or in the peritoneal cavity, there is production of interferon, as seen by the increase in the titre of circulating interferon. The level of activity of 2′5′-oligoadenylate synthetase, an interferon-induced enzyme, in peritoneal macrophages from intraperitoneally-injected mice is twice that of macrophages from intrapleurally injected or control mice. This enhancement in enzyme activity is discussed in relation to the increased production of circulating interferon and/or the history of the peritoneal macrophages. i. e. whether they are newly derived from circulating monocytes or not during an acute non-specific inflammatory reaction. La réaction inflammatoire aiguë non spécifique induite chez la souris par l'injection intrapleurale ou intrapéritonéale de pyrophosphate de calcium, s'accompagne d'une production d'interféron comme en témoigne l'augmentation du titre de l'interféron circulant. L'activité de la 2′5′-oligoadénylate synthétase, mesurée dans les macrophages péritonéaux, double lorsque l'injection est intrapéritonéale par rapport aux souris témoins alors qu'elle n'est pas modifée lorsque l'injection est intrapleurale. L'élévation de cette activité enzymatique pourrait être liée à l'augmentation du titre de l'interféron circulant et/ou à la nature des macrophages péritonéaux, c'est-à-dire, s'ils sont nouvellement différenciés, à partir des monocytes circulants." @default.
