The quantitative differences are accounted for by the surface contribution to the photoelectron intensity. Simple subtraction of calculated bulk Fe SRDOS from the photoemission spectra yield an experimental surface SRDOS that agrees well with the calculation for Fe(001) and Fe(110). The Fe surface spin polarization is enhanced by (12ifmmodepmelsetextpmfi{}8)% over the bulk, consistent with theoretical predictions." @default.
