- W2009780915 abstract "1. In an isolated nerve-skin preparation of the toad Bufo bufo L., the electrical stimulation of the brachial plexus provokes an alteration of the skin potential consisting of a hyperpolarization sometimes preceded by a depolarization. 2. Flux values during potential variation suggest that hyperpolarization results from the activation of an active transport of potassium inwards and possibly from a diminution of the passive permeability to sodium of serous cell membranes; depolarization is provoked by initiation of an active transport of chloride inwards. 3. Adrenaline and noradrenaline mimic the action of the brachial plexus stimulation not only at the potential difference level but also at the flux level." @default.
