- W2009803726 abstract "In this paper, we demonstrate a simple facile aqueous chemical route to prepare large scale Gd doped ZnO nanorod at a temperature of 95°C. X-ray diffraction pattern confirms the wurtzite phase of Gd -doped ZnO nanorods having intense (002) peak with a peak shift towards lower angle. The UV emission intensity decreases by two orders of magnitude and blue-orange broad-band emission emanates from the defects, increases slightly by doping Gd ion in ZnO . Localized SAED patterns taken using nanoprobe size reveals that the nanorods are single crystals grown along c-axis [0001] direction. A systematic evalution of enhancement in ferromagnetism (M = 0.07 × 10 -2 emu/g to 1.4 × 10 -2 emu/g) indicates incorporation of Gd ions into the Zn lattice sites." @default.
