- W2010757745 abstract "The electrochemisorption of hexahydroxyplatinate(IV) on titania films is examined as a function of deposition potential over a range from 0.0 to 1.0 V vs. SCE. The samples were analysed using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Auger electron spectroscopy (AES). Both XPS and AES analyses show that the amount of platinum deposited is maximized at 0.8 V vs. SCE. Also, the oxygen-to-titanium ratio correlates with the amount of platinum deposited. XPS shows that the deposited platinum consists of a mixture several different oxidation states with the two predominant states corresponding to Pt(OH)2 and Pt bonded as PtOTi. Very little metallic platinum, PtO or PtO2 is observed." @default.
