- W2010886823 abstract "Frequency-resolved and time-resolved resonance coherent Raman intensities are formulated using a simple third-order density matrix method (only the most significant, fully resonant terms are considered). Effects of homogeneous and inhomogeneous broadening mechanisms of electronic transitions are examined from a unified viewpoint for various resonant coherent Raman processes. It is predicted that electronic coherence decay is observed as a rise of the signal in time-resolved ground state resonant CARS and SRG. The rise time is determined by the reciprocal of the total (homogeneous+inhomogeneous) width of the electronic absorption in CARS, while by the reciprocal of the homogeneous width in SRG. Effects of ultrafast intramolecular rearrangements on frequency-resolved resonance coherent Raman depolarization ratios are also discussed. It is shown that the time-scale of the rearrangement is estimated directly from the electronic absorption in CARS and IRS, without an assumption the for homogeneous width." @default.
