- W2011399122 abstract "In the history of science there are names which, like milestones, mark the transition of scientific knowledge to a qualitatively new stage. The great workers in science accumulate the accomplishments of their predecessors and, with a mighty surge of creative thinking, draw near to a true vision of the subject and discover the fundamental relations linking phenomena in their development. In doing so, they simultaneously create a new method of scientific knowledge, thereby making the path shorter and easier for those who come after them. Anton Semenovich Makarenko is among these genuine pioneers in science. His scientific creativity is inseparable from the revolutionary process of the creation of socialist pedagogy, and we have the right to call his pedagogical experiment the very body and soul of the experience of the best fighters for a new, unified labor polytechnical school. Along with his many comrades and fellow thinkers, Makarenko consistently implemented and sought out the best methodological applications of Lenin's principles of public education: the necessity of compulsory general secondary education for all the younger generation (this task was basically accomplished in the F. E. Dzerzhinskii Commune in the early 1930s), the combination of instruction and productive labor (let us recall the FED [F. E. Dzerzhinskii] Plant), and comprehensive development of students' initiative (the practical work of the general assembly, commanders' council, and the Komsomol in the commune). Nevertheless, Makarenko was not merely one of those who.… He went considerably farther than his contemporaries, primarily by virtue of his outstanding discovery—that's right, a discovery that until now has not received the appreciation it deserves—of the chief and basic method of communist upbringing. That discovery was the idea of the upbringing collective." @default.
