Large peaks, with speeds v e close to the projectile speed v p , have been observed even at these large angles for thinner foils with H 2 + and H 3 + . The molecular enhancement for the yield of v e ∼ v p electrons per proton for H 3 + is always larger than that for H 2 + and the molecular enhancement for both H 2 + and H 3 + decreases with increase of foil thickness, disappearing at foil thicknesses (gtrsim 15) µg/cm 2 . By comparing data for molecular projectiles (H 2 + , H 3 + ) with data for atomic projectiles (H + , 3 H + ), it is concluded that the molecular enhancement for the yield of v e ∼ v p electrons is consistent with the electron loss model." @default.
