- W2012167210 abstract "A metodologia adotada na caracterizacao da variabilidade espacial da emissao de CO 2 do solo pode afetar significativamente a precisao da estimativa obtida. O objetivo deste estudo foi comparar as predicoes da emissao de CO 2 do solo sob o cultivo de cana-de-acucar quando estimadas pelos metodos da krigagem ordinaria e simulacao sequencial gaussiana. O estudo foi conduzido na Fazenda Santa Olga, onde foi instalada uma malha amostral com 141 pontos para avaliar a emissao de CO 2 durante sete dias. Modelos esfericos e gaussianos foram ajustados para a descricao da variabilidade espacial. A tecnica de krigagem ordinaria produziu, em todos os dias avaliados, uma representacao mais proxima aos dados observados em campo, apresentando uma melhoria na acuracia de 7,4 a 34,8% em relacao a simulacao sequencial gaussiana. ORDINARY KRIGING AND SEQUENTIAL GAUSSIAN SIMULATION IN THE INTERPOLATION OF SOIL CO 2 EMISSION SUMMARY: The methodology used to characterize the spatial variability of soil CO2 emissions can significantly affect the accuracy of the estimate obtained. The aim of this study was to compare the predictions of soil CO 2 emission under cultivation of sugar cane as estimated by the methods of ordinary kriging and sequential Gaussian simulation . In the study area was installed a sampling grid with 141 points where the emission was measured over a seven -day trial. Spherical and Gaussian models were fitted to describe the spatial variability. The technique of ordinary kriging produced in all the days considered a representation closer to the observed data field , an increase of accuracy ranging from 7.4 to 34.8% over the sequential gaussian simulation.
