- W2012250448 abstract "In order to deal perturbatively with P-wave light-flavour mesons, it is impossible to use the infinite-momentum frame (IMF) approximation which is commonly used for S-wave mesons. We define a new, consistent, approach, which we call the high-rapidity frame (HRF) approximation. It allows one to take fully into account spins and orbital angular momentum of the valence partons within a meson. In this way, the L-S recoupling into JP is done properly. The method is applied to prompt production of light-flavour mesons for J⩽2, and P = ±1, and to perturbative estimates on some meson decays. As physical consequences, we show that the shape of the higher-twist contributions to meson production at large pT mainly derives from perturbative QCD while their size largely depends on hypotheses about meson wave-functions; we also show how exotic quantum numbers can be obtained for usual light qq mesons with partons off their mass shell. We derive the triangle diagrams responsible for the π0 decay from perturbative QCD. Finally, we show that prompt production allows an unambiguous signature of a gluonium meson as compared to a quarkonium." @default.
