- W2013228443 abstract "Younger and older right-and left-handed children participated in verbal and nonverbal auditory tasks. The results of these experiments demonstrate that there are sex-related changes in lateralization of linguistic processing with age. Boys and girls both show left-hemisphere specialization for speech in early childhood. However, by late childhood the adult pattern of greater language lateralization in males than in females is established. @default.
