The X-ray diffraction analysis of (C6H6)(C4H6)Ru reveals a short-long-short bond sequence being quite unusual for transition metal butadiene compounds. 1H-NMR studies prove a more pronounced sp2 character for the terminal diene C atoms as compared with the tricarbonyl butadiene complexes of Fe and Ru. (η6-Aren(η4-dien)Ru-Komplexe (aren = Benzol, Mesitylen, Hexamethylbenzol; then = Buta-1,3-dien, Isopren, 2,3-Dimethyl- und 1,4-Diphenylbuta-1,3-dien) wurden durch Umsetzung der (aren)RuCl2-Pyridinaddukte mit den entsprechenden Butendiylmagnesium-Verbindungen in Tetrahydrofuran synthetisiert. Die Dieneinheiten lassen sich nicht austauschen, während in einem Falle Benzol durch Mesitylen ersetzt werden konnte. Die Röntgenbeugungsanalyse von (C6H6)(C4H6)Ru offenbart eine für Übergangsmetallbutadien-Verbindungen ungewönliche Bindungsabfolge kurz-lang-kurz. 1H-NMR-Studien beweisen einen ausgeprägteren sp2-Charakter für die terminalen Dien-C-Atome im Vergleich zu den Tricarbonylbutadien-Verbindungen von Feund Ru." @default.
