- W2014127957 abstract "The size effect on giant magnetoresistance (GMR) in magnetic granular film is studied by considering the phase interference among the scattering impurities in the ferromagnetic particle. We have analyzed GMR with two distinct magnetic phases for small and large granules. The result shows that at room temperature, large magnetic particles containing n atoms (n >> 12) dominate the GMR. The GMR has the maximum value at a characteristic size of magnetic granules. At low temperature (T = 4.5 K), the small clusters (n ≤ 12) make only a minor contribution to the GMR. The theoretical calculations are in agreement with experiments reported." @default.
