- W2014655718 abstract "Three novel ninhydrin positive compounds have been isolated and partially identified from normal human urine. Upon analysis with amino acid analyzer, these compounds appeared at 91 min (Peak 91), 119 min (Peak 119), and 158 min (Peak 158) on the chromatogram, respectively. Structural studies revealed that all three peaks contain the same chemical compositions but at different ratios. Peak 158 has a basic composition of glucosamine:inorganic phosphate:ethanolamine:mannose:glycerol at 1:1:1:1:1 ratio. Peak 91 and Peak 119 have the composition ratio of 1:2:2:1:1 and 1:2:2:2:1, respectively. All three peaks have the same core structure of 2-O-α-glucosaminylglycerol phosphoethanolamine. They have been tentatively named as glycosyl glycerol phosphoethanolamines. Normal humans excrete Peak 158 at approxinately 20 μmole/liter, while both Peak 119 and Peak 91 are less. Preliminary studies indicated that these compounds are possibly of endogeneous origin." @default.
